Sushumna Sikshana is an Initiative by our beloved Mataji Pujyasri Aathmanandamayi to introduce young minds into Sanatana Dharma.
Sushumna Prathamika Sikshana is for children aged 5 to 8 years on Saturdays in Telugu and Sushumna Bala Sikshana is for children aged 8 to 14 on Sundays in English.
Sushumna Sikshana sessions are designed to develop Spiritual, Moral, Cultural, and Ethical values among Children. These sessions are programmed to help children develop and enhance positive qualities like Honesty, Integrity, Empathy, Cultural Values, and Traditional Customs and make them realize their Social responsibility.
The sessions are fun-filled, Interactive and impart life skills to make their Spiritual learning that much more fun and Memorable. These weekly sessions are specially designed to maximize their understanding of our Traditional Customs, Culture, and Values through Educational and Cultural related activities.
The sessions typically include Shlokas and Bhajans which are chanted and celebrated in Indian Festivals and their relevance and meaning. During the sessions, children are taught to practice Sushumna Kriya Yoga Meditation. Along with these activities, children are engaged in crafts, drawing, storytelling, puzzles, and entertaining games.
Mataji’s aim is to help transform children internally and externally and prepare them for their future with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead a Healthy, Happy, and Joyous life and live in harmony with the environment.
The Meditation sessions further help the Children to remain Calm, Cheerful and prepare them for any obstacles that they may have to face and put them on the path to a Healthy, Happy, and Successful life.
